Who said fishing slows down in the fall? Not us! There were some HUGE catches from the FishingBooker community last month. Not to mention the happy customers who were blown away by the care and attention their captains gave them on their charters. Here are some of our highlights.

Highest rated: Cabo Sportfishing Crew – Blue Tail

Captain Juan and his first mate Ismael blew their customers away in October. With no less than 10 all-star reviews, they got the highest number of recommendations from FishingBooker customers last month.

Cabo Sportfishing Crew put their guests on an impressive number of big fish, while going the extra mile to provide excellent service and consistent fishing action for their customers. The friendly and knowledgeable crew delighted visiting anglers, who reported how much fun they had aboard the “Blue Tail.”

James and his wife went fishing with Captain Juan for the second time and have nothing but good things to say about the charter. Recommendations from returning customers speak volumes about the quality of the charter, and this one says it all:

“My wife and I fished on the Blue Tail with Juan (boat owner) and his first mate Ismael. They were great to deal with. The boat was extremely clean. The guys were very knowledgeable…I would highly recommend this boat. This was my second year fishing on this boat and they always seem to deliver.”

Kim from Texas, a first-timer on the “Blue Tail,” described the fishing experience with Capt. Juan as first-class:

“Both the captain and mate worked very hard to put us on fish! We caught 5 Mahi Mahi and released a Sailfish… [Even though we told the captain we had enough fish], they kept the rods out on the way in, hoping for another bite. These guys worked endlessly to ensure our trip over exceeded expectations.”

A clean boat, personable service, attention to detail… and, of course, catching Cabo’s famous game fish. These all come up time and again in reviews for Cabo Sportfishing Crew. Congratulations, Juan and Ismael!

A trophy-sized Wahoo for the family

Family fishing is always memorable, but a recent trip with Captain Bart from Tulúm Sport Fishing really stood out. Shelley, who went on a morning trip with her husband and son, only had good things to say about the crew.

According to her, the first mate Ivan was “kind and hospitable,” and “Captain Bart was obviously a seasoned pro and he was also fantastic.” Shelley also pointed out that the crew made the whole experience very fun for her son.

Everybody on the boat became fast friends, and went on to catch a couple of Barracuda, 25 Bonito, and the colossal Wahoo you can see in the photo. Talk about a great catch!

It seems that Tulúm Sport Fishing has a recipe for success, and it includes understanding what your customers need and always, always being welcoming and friendly. Keep the good reviews coming, Captain Bart!

With Reel Knowledge Fishing, conservation is the way to go!

Captain Josh and Reel Knowledge Fishing earned a stellar review last month. Steve was blown away by his willingness to provide an enjoyable trip while caring for the local environment.

As well as making the experience educational and fun, Josh customized the excursion to fit Steve’s fishing ambitions. He worked hard to find the best spots and catch different species, all the while keeping in mind what Steve wanted to get out of his trip.

Steve was happy with his day on the water, but he was even more impressed by Captain Josh’s conservation efforts. Some of his catch was turned into delicious fillets, while most fish were safely released.

“I had a great time, very educational, [with] personal treatment and a down to earth captain,” he said. “He prepped the keepers, ensured that we had enough for a meal, and encouraged catch/release to keep the waters stocked. There was no waste during cleaning either, which kept the pelicans happy. No garbage went into the water, which he stressed was important to keep the fisheries healthy… I would highly recommend Capt. Josh and will be back again next year.”

This review just goes to show that custom-tailored trips and smart conservation practices are a match made in heaven!

Mackerel for the win!

Nothing beats fishing when it comes to quality father-son bonding, and you can trust Coral Coast Fishing Charters to make the whole experience outstanding!

Brad and his son Caleb joined Captain Tony for a morning jaunt on Fiji’s pristine waters, only to find themselves fighting an enormous 80 lb Narrow-Barred Spanish Mackerel.

This monumental catch was followed by some fun handlining and Trevally fishing. The record Mackerel hookup was the highlight of the trip.

Thanks to Captain Tony, yet another pair of anglers has been sold on Fiji’s amazing fishing potential. This lucky father and son will be back for more exciting action next year. Who wouldn’t?

A giant Musky surprise

It seems that father-son fishing has been extraordinary this month, and this enormous 52” Muskie is the ultimate proof! This monster fish was caught on Lake St. Clair with the help of FishLSC Charters.

Dave and his son were successful in fighting this beast, and all their hard work was well worth it. Just look at the size of it! Captain Ian has had a good streak of putting his customers on impressive fish and this is just one of his success stories.

Thanks, Captain Ian, for confirming that, in October, monster fish aren’t limited to the bluewater!

The ultimate vampire hunt

A vampire hunt on the beautiful and remote Curixá River doesn’t require a wooden stake, just a fly rod. The ultimate catch here is Payara, the “Vampire Fish.”

One of our newest signups in October was Curixá Fishing Lodge, and they know what it takes to hook you up on this monster fish. Nestled in the Amazon wilderness, on the border between Brazil and Bolivia, this lodge is only reachable by water or air. Its remote location is part of its appeal, as well as the fact that it works closely with the indigenous community to provide excellent fishing.

This unique fishing experience puts adventurous anglers in the middle of the Amazon, going after the iconic fish you usually only see on TV.

Curixá Fishing Lodge practices catch and release fishing for all the local big names: Peacock Bass, Arapaima, Piranha, and of course, Payara. They’re dedicated to creating a haven where anglers can come to enjoy spectacular views and even better fishing.

Welcome, Curixá Fishing Lodge. We can’t wait to see more gorgeous photos of exotic catches!

October fishing has been nothing short of superb, and it seems like the action isn’t slowing down. Have you caught something brag-worthy lately? Share your stories in the comments and fishing reports!
