Over the last several years, our Angler’s Choice program has promoted thousands of listings all over the world.
Now, after talking to hundreds of captains and customers, we’re getting ready to make some big changes to the way we recognize our top listings. Angler’s Choice will become more exclusive, only promoting the top percentage of listings that have given customers the very best experience on FishingBooker.
Who’s eligible for the award?
As always, the Angler’s Choice award will be calculated based on your achievements with FishingBooker. All listings are eligible, and they can earn the award over time.
To qualify for the new 2020 award, you must have achieved the following in the last year:
- Received at least seven verified reviews from FishingBooker customers
- Have an overall review rating of at least 4.5 / 5
- Accepted and run at least 70% of your trips
- Responded to at least 90% of your trip requests
Why we’re updating the criteria
We believe that captains who offer the very best experience to our customers should be recognized for their hard work. So, we’re making our Angler’s Choice more exclusive and connecting it more closely with the whole experience captains offer to customers who book with us.
Whereas previously Angler’s Choice looked at reviews, now it will consider the whole booking experience – from responding to trip requests to taking people fishing and gathering their feedback.
How to know if you’ve been awarded
We’ll be releasing the new criteria this fall, when the new awards will be visible on FishingBooker listings. All award winners will be notified by email and we’ll be in touch about further promotional material you can use for your business. Make sure your FishingBooker email address is up to date so you don’t miss the notification.
Will this year’s change impact past awards?
If you received an Angler’s Choice award in the past and are advertising with a widget on your website, you’ll still be able to promote this. However, we only show the current year’s award on FishingBooker listings.
We’re continuing to explore ways to promote captains who offer the very best service to their guests. We’re proud to work with people who go above and beyond, day in and day out, and want to do all we can to highlight these efforts to our customers.
