Our features from the last month have been all about sprucing up and providing a cleaner, more useful experience for you and your customers. You can now access your data more easily and make an attractive listing even if you don’t have a boat. And there’s more on the horizon.
Get accurate earnings data, fast
You may have noticed your booking screens have a new look on your computer. Now, you can filter your bookings and plan for your upcoming trips easier – just like you do on on your app.
But that’s not all that’s changed. By popular request, you can now see and download all your past booking data and earnings, right from your “manage bookings” page.
Do this by using the new Export to CSV function. This lets you choose what data you want to see (whether it’s upcoming, past, or unsuccessful bookings, or all three) and enter a date range that you want to export. This will show you the trip’s deposit and your earnings, so you can easily extract details about the full amount you received.
Make listings work for you – whatever your setup
Up until recently, FishingBooker listings were made with one basic assumption: that you had a boat. That’s not ideal when you’re an on-foot guide or you run a fishing lodge!
Now, the very first step in setting up a listing is choosing your “listing type” – selecting whether you’re advertising a fishing charter or a fishing lodge, or if you’re an outfitter.
Depending on what you choose, we’ll ask you some follow-up questions. If you don’t have a boat, you won’t need to insert details about your engine, make, or year built. Anyone running a fishing charter setup, though, will find their listing functions just as it always has done, with all their information staying the same.
In case you missed it – new feature to change bookings
Last month, we released a big new feature. Streamlining communication between you and your customers, it should make planning your bookings much easier this upcoming season.
The Change Booking button lets you and your customers communicate about alternate times, dates, and group sizes, all in one place. It’s linked to your calendar, so once you suggest a change and they agree to it, the information will be updated on FishingBooker and you don’t need to do a thing. Instead of contacting us and rebooking the trip, you can now focus on fishing!
In the pipeline
We’re working on making it possible to manage your listing directly from your captain app – so you can add photos and adjust your trip details on the go.
We’re also redesigning the way you view your listings in your dashboard, so it’s easier to find the most important information immediately.
Stay tuned for more updates next month!
