Recognizing that women had long been underrepresented in fishing events, leadership roles, and outdoor media in general, I, Amanda Brannon<\/strong>, together with Kristine Fischer<\/strong> and Mel Isaacs Tolle, <\/strong>established the Women’s Fishing Federation<\/a> (WFF) in 2019 to fill a critical gap. We were each leaders in our own right within the fishing community and we came together with a bold vision: <\/p>

To create a national organization that uplifts and supports women across all levels of the sport.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

We started the WFF as a passionate collaboration, and it has since grown into a powerful movement, uniting women across the country with a shared purpose. The Federation has since been a supporting network for women across the country, playing a crucial role in getting women into fishing, supporting their growth in the industry, and boosting camaraderie – with women who enjoy fishing together! <\/p>

Mel, Kristine, and I collaborated together in 2019 to establish the WFF. We created a remote network between us, representing Nebraska, Missouri, and South Carolina – diverse states with even more diverse fishing opportunities!<\/p>

As keen anglers, we had a simple, yet powerful mission<\/strong>:<\/p>

To provide education, camaraderie, and support to women anglers everywhere, from all skill levels.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

Whether someone is picking up a fishing rod for the first time or preparing for their next national tournament, the WFF exists to ensure they feel welcome, connected, and confident in their journey.<\/p>
