Sitting 20 miles off the coast of Belize City, Turneffe Atoll is one of the world&rsquo;s top Bonefish fisheries. The sheer number of <strong>Bonefish<\/strong> makes this the perfect place to hone your skills, or even catch your first fish. Most are medium-sized but don&rsquo;t worry, there are plenty of larger, battle-hardened Bones around too.<\/p><p>Belize&rsquo;s Bonefishing is incredible, but the country is mainly known for its <strong>Permit<\/strong>. Turneffe Atoll is no exception, with a massive Permit population averaging 10&ndash;20 pounds. Big fish can reach up to 30 pounds or even more. The best part? Love fishing the Gulf of Mexico? Take on <strong>Barracuda, Cobia, Tripletail<\/strong>, and an army of giant <strong>Jacks<\/strong>. Prefer the South African scene? Try your luck at <strong>Leerfish and Kob<\/strong>.
