Captain Reachout Specialists communicate with captains to find out essential information about their business so we can advertise them on FishingBooker.

 

As a Captain Reachout Specialist, you will be in contact with captains and guides on a daily basis. You will work with them to make sure they are being advertised accurately on FishingBooker and that they are working with us according to our community guidelines. This involves regular phone and email communication and close collaboration with the Content team.

We are looking for new teammates who have a business mindset and a proven ability to interact with people. Our new teammates must be flexible, determined, and able to adapt quickly to the ever-changing environment of an e-commerce travel startup.

This is a temp job (3-5 months), but we're looking for people who would be a good fit in the long run and there will be a chance for high achieving temps to enter the cs/sales/coordinators departments after their temp term has finished.

Responsibilities:

  • Contact captains and guides daily via phone and email.

  • Know FishingBooker's product inside-out to ensure the captains you work with can get the most out of it.

  • Develop a deep understanding of fishing styles and techniques worldwide.

  • Contact partners daily via phone and email.

  • Work closely with the Content team, communicating with them in accordance with departmental guidelines.

  • Call captains from all over the world, generally covering US calling hours with occasional later/earlier shifts (upon agreement with the team).

Requirements:

  • Fluency in spoken and written English.

  • Strong communication skills on the phone and email.

  • Self-motivated team player.

  • Very good negotiation skills.

  • Some degree of flexibility with working hours.Your job will involve calling captains in different time zones, so you will be working in roughly-defined shifts.

  • Positive attitude essential!

It’s a plus:

  • If you have prior experience in a customer-facing role.
