Pirate For Hire Charters
Pirate For Hire Chart fishes the backcountry, flats and the Glades for the likes of Redfish, Snook, Tarpon, Permit, Bonefish, Trout, Mackerel, Snapper, Grouper and many others. There’s hot action year round, and you won’t miss out when fishing with this crew. Whether it’s serious fishing, or a custom trip, Capt. Ron’s got you covered.
Pirate for Hire is a 2201 Mako Bay Boat, powered by 200HP Mercury Optimax, with a maximum capacity of four fishermen. The boat is spacious, quick and outfitted with all the necessary gear for both casual outings and serious fishing excursions. The vessel comes equipped with quality fishing as well as navigational gear, including Garmin 760 GPS and fish finder.
Captain Ron, a 3rd generation pro fisherman, has spent his whole life fishing. He’s been at the helm of vessels ranging from 16’ to 65’ in size, and has served as a professional deckhand for over 6 years. He started fishing back in 1982, and has fished as north as North Carolina and as south as the bonefish-rich Bahamas. Islamorada, however, has always had a special place in his heart, both as his home and as one of Florida’s eminent fishing grounds. Captain Ron’s got more commercial fishing experience than many, however his true passion remains providing people with a fishing trip they won’t forget on the productive waterways of Florida Keys.
His son and second in command, Captain Daniel is a 4th generation fisherman that’s been fishing the Islamorada waterways his whole life before he started serving as a deckhand with his dad. Daniel usually compares his passion for fishing and outdoors to that of his father or even greater, and is happy to do whatever he can to provide you with a memorable experience aboard the Pirate.
All fishing gear, bait and licenses are covered by the Captain at no additional cost. Ron prefers fishing with live bait on almost every trip all throughout the year, and will be happy to clean and filet your catch following the trip.
