Super Panga Tres Estrellas
Super Panga Tres Estrellas
, JA, Mexico
Super Panga is a 27’ central console panga, powered by a single 100HP four-stroke Yamaha engine, able to accommodate up to 6 passengers. The vessel is outfitted with a live bait tank and tuna tubes, as well as an ice chest. The Super Panga team will provide you with all the necessary tackle (mainly Penn International) that you’ll need to fight some of the world’s most sought-after pelagics. There are outriggers on board as well, to ensure as much ground is covered as possible.
The bilingual crew of Super Panga Tres Estrellas wants to catch fish as much as their guests do. Captain Gabriel has over 20 years of experience fishing the prolific waters of Puerto Vallarta: he fishes the Banderas Bay as well as the productive offshore grounds, targeting Mahi Mahi, Marlin, Sailfish, Roosterfish, Snapper, and many others.
The waters of Puerto Vallarta are abundant with game fish virtually all year round. Although there may be distinct fishing seasons when it comes to certain species, what many say sets Puerto Vallarta apart from other big game hotspots is that catching fish is a possibility regardless of when you might be visiting.
The Super Panga team is readily available to customize your day on the water any which way you’d like. For family outings, a combination of fishing and snorkeling is recommended, followed by, if you’d like, taking a break on one of the crew’s favorite beaches along the way. The excursions in Puerto Vallarta are also often about more than just fishing - the scenery is beautiful, with regular whale and various bird sightings. The seabed, on the other hand, is filled with starfish and sea urchins, making Puerto Vallarta a popular destination for snorkeling enthusiasts as well.

My wife and I brought three boys between 11-13 for this trip. We very much enjoyed the trip and the boys had a great time on the water. Our guides Nikolai and Jorge were very nice and knowledgeable of the area and history of the bay. There is only time to fish for about 1.5 hours on this trip so if you are looking for more fishing choose another excursion. I would suggest the snorkel equipment be upgraded. Overall a very memorable trip for our vacation.

A great trip for our family of six. Even with slow fishing the boat ride and dolphin viewing was incredible. Excellent and friendly captain!
I would highly recommend for all ages. Thank you Gabriel

Capt. Gabriel and his son Angel were great, worked hard all day to stay with the birds and find fish. Gabriel’s knowledge and fish-sighting skills are impressive. Bite was slow at first, a couple red snapper hits early but no hookups. Tried for roosterfish but no bites, switched to target marlin, found a school of skipjacks hitting a bait ball, landed 30 in the boat in no time! Spotted around a dozen striped marlin tailing, hooked a nice one ~150-200 lbs but it shook loose. Booked a 6 hr day then added 2 hrs due to great action at the end thanks to Gabriel & son. Didn’t get a rooster or mahi but still one of the best days on the water in the 30+ years I’ve been fishing. My 2 boys had a great time. Will definitely return to enjoy more fishing with them next time we’re in PV.
