St Kilda Charters - Melbourne

Marine Parade
St Kilda VI, Australia

St Kilda Charters are located in Melbourne, Australia, and offer exciting fishing trips on Port Phillip Bay. Based at St Kilda Marina, they are situated right by one of Melbourne’s most famous suburbs and beaches, and only a short drive from the city centre.

The ‘West Wind’ is a 55’ Randall flybridge cruiser that is powered by a 740HP Detroit engine. It is a very stable and safe boat, and the largest fishing vessel in the state of Victoria. It comes equipped with all of the necessary safety requirements, two GPS and two depth sounders. It can accommodate up to 30 people, and features a flybridge, rod holders for all anglers, undercover seating, spacious lounge area and galley, stereo, barbeque, icebox for drinks, and toilet.

St Kilda Charters specialise in bottom fishing for species such as Snapper, Pinkie (baby Snapper), Gummy Shark, King George Whiting, Slimy Trevally, Garfish and Flathead, depending on the season. They offer 5 hour fishing charters, which run morning, afternoon and at twilight, as well as Snapper trips from October to December. Trips include the use of quality rods, reels, tackle and bait, as well as breakfast or BBQ lunch, cordial, and tea/coffee in the colder months. You are welcome to bring your own alcohol (limit of two drinks per person). Fishing licences need to be organised separately prior to your trip.

All trips are subject to weather conditions, and number of passengers booked (a min of 12 people is needed for charters to run).

Trip was good, however for the price the food was way below average and did not cater for vegetarians.
The service could have been better.

Would not recommend this trip ,
Was told this trip had been cancelled by the captain when we boarded the boat,as he,d booked a party of 20 ladies ,with no cancellation notice from fishing booker ,or Kilda charters ,the ladies we,re happy for us to join in fishing ,the captain was also happy to take our fee .
A BBQ lunch was included in the price which we did not partake in as busy fishing ,but tea/coffee was also included but at no time where we offered a cup of either .
