Chap Charters is here to make sure you have an awesome experience on the water. Run by Captain Stephen Chapman, Chap Charters offers fishing charters from North Clearwater to South St Pete. Whether you’re looking for something to do on a family day out, or are an angler looking for a real fishing challenge, Captain Stephen will ensure the trip is tailored to your needs.
You will be fishing on a brand new 23’ Skeeter bay boat, powered by a Yamaha 200 HP engine. Apart from the standard safety and navigation equipment, the boat also has a custom cooler, wireless trolling motor, dual bait wells, padded flip-up seats, and a dive platform with a ladder.
The boat has plenty of room to take up to four anglers and later bring back whatever they might catch. She also has plenty of shade from the Florida sun, thanks to her brand new tower and covered top.
When Capt. Stephen isn’t running charters, he works as a firefighter paramedic. He takes safety onboard seriously. There is a full range of safety and first aid equipment onboard and he always makes sure his trips are fun and worry-free – perfect for families or anyone who wants a relaxing day on the water.
On your trip, you will be able to enjoy the beautiful outdoor scenery and are almost guaranteed to see some dolphins close up. You can expect to encounter fish species such as Snook, Redfish, Trout, Kingfish, and Tarpon (when in season) among others. Depending on your wishes, you can fish the entire time, or Captain Stephen can also take you sightseeing or island hopping.
The trips include rods, reels, and tackle, as well as bait, lures and fishing licenses. After the trip, Captain Stephen will clean and bag anything you catch for your convenience. Feel free to bring along any drinks or snacks if you want something to munch while waiting for the fish to bite. Polarised sunglasses come highly recommended for the best experience out on the water.
