The weather being a little fickle, this did not daunt the talent and expertise of Captain Mike!  A little rain, a little sunshine - and many fish still jumping on the line!  What a terrific experience. This was my second venture with Reel Addiction and it won’t be my last!  Lady Anglers rule!

We booked with late notice and Reel Addicted was the only charter we could find with the availability we needed. That’s not always a good thing but it worked out for us in this case. I emailed a bunch of charters not associated with Fishing Booker but the service made it easy to find the date and time that worked for us quickly, most guides don’t list their availability online. The boat is top-notch, outfitted with modern electronics, electronically controlled down riggers and quality rod/reel combos. He fishes large, custom painted raps, exclusively, for stripers and he is an active captain, lots of color/pattern changes. The bite wasn’t “on” but he still managed to put us on some trophy fish and catch some smaller slot fish. Two things you can’t control while fishing are the bite and the weather, we got lucky with one of them, and with persistence, dealt with the other. Solid B or B+ grade, but that’s not his fault. If the fish had been a little more active it could have easily been A+. Mike wants to catch the fish and will do anything he can to give you a great trip. I look forward to booking with him again. Maybe try one of the Lake Ontario charters this summer.

this was the perfect fishing trip.  the boat was comfortable, well equipped with state of the art gear, the captain and the mate couldn’t have been better and the end result of fishing was more than we could have expected.  we caught fish of the eagle limit to take home and eat and we caught two whoppers that had to be but back in the water.  imagine on a single trip we caught a 41” and a 45”.  landing the 45” was something to watch as the captain and the first mate worked as a well oiled machine to bring it in and get it back into water.  couldn’t have asked for a better day on the river.  highly recommend michael and his very special boat.  as i didn’t take any photos i hope he posts ones of the two big fish we caught,

We left on time.  Captain Mike knew his business, his boat, the river and how to treat his guests.  He had top of the line equipment.  He had a great deck hand, Nick, who was incredibly responsive to everything that was going on.

Interestingly, the other boats in the area were all following him…that probably tells you everything you need to know!

Wow… We are so thankful that we got to book with Mikey. I booked as a result of all the fantastic reviews and we were not disappointed. Fantastic boat, incredible equipment and fabulous customer service. Mikey works hard to ensure you catch great fish. Our first fish was 41 inches and 38 to 40 pounds. Love bringing in those stripers. Grin! My grandson brought in the biggest catch of the day. We caught approximately 12 or 13 fish. So exciting.
