Poverty Sucks Fishing is a family-run business, and their guests become part of the family too.
You’ll have the pleasure of fishing on a timeless classic - a 53’ Hatteras that’s powered by a pair of 390 HP Detroit engines. She’s quite a beauty, as you can see from the photos, but very comfortable to be on as well. There’s enough room on the boat for up to a dozen people, but the optimal number of anglers is 5-6 when trolling and 4-5 when bottom fishing.
This part of Mexico is every angler’s dream, and Poverty Sucks Fishing will show you why. Some of the species you can target on a standard offshore trip include Mahi Mahi, Blue and White Marlin, Sailfish, Blackfin Tuna, Kingfish, Wahoo, and more besides. However long you decide to stay on a trip, you’ll always be itching for more, it’s just that good.
You’ll be provided with all the necessary rods, reels, and terminal tackle needed for a productive trip. Food and soft drinks are provided on longer trips, and the captain can provide you with beer ($30 per case) if you let him know beforehand. Make sure you’ve got your sunglasses and sunscreen packed, and you’re all set for a sportfishing adventure.
**There is a new federal fee that will require all customers to purchase bracelets in the amount of $3 per person.**
