The Sunshine State’s inshore and backcountry waters are known all across the world as excellent fishing grounds with bountiful inshore species. Skinny Situation Charters has been fishing the area for years and will take you to the best secret spots, to help you net that dream catch.
Climb aboard their 18’ skiff, specially constructed by Hell’s Bay Boatworks. She’s powered by a 60 HP Mercury engine, allowing her to cross the shallow waters of the flats and inshore areas rapidly. Capt. Scott is always on the push pole, swiveling his head in search of the spookiest catch around - allowing you to creep up and reel them in.
Join Captain Scott Burgess in fishing up and down Florida’s inshore waters, after a wide variety of species. From regulars such as Black Drum, Tripletail, Cobia, Flounder, over the always-popular Redfish, and finally the Silver King himself, the Tarpon - they’re all on the catch list. Captain Scott has memorized the best fishing spots in the area and will gladly take you fishing for monster Redfish or, in the summer, massive Tarpon.
All required equipment is provided by the charter operator. Clients can bring their own flyfishing gear or use the high-quality set manufactured by Orvis and provided by the captain. Live bait is available for use on this charter. Clients can keep catch, though Captain Scott encourages catch and release. Children are welcome on board, though there’s a minimum age policy of 5 in place. The charter doesn’t provide small vests for children, parents are advised to bring their own.
Captain Scott Burgess is a local pro and fishes St. Marks, Shell Point, and Panacea - he’s studied their fishing spots over thousands of hours spent fishing.
