Capt. Taco's Hooked Up Sportfishing is your key to the best angling in South Florida. Cruise out of Fort Lauderdale and feel the connection with the waters. Fishing with Capt. Taco is a unique experience everyone should have!

Deep drop for what is around the wrecks, including Amberjack, Grouper, Cobia, and Mutton Snapper. Try kite fishing for Sailfish and get a bonus of Shark, Kingfish, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, and many more.

If you are a big fan of Sharks, target these pelagic monsters in about 350 ft of water. Go for fast Mako Shark, Thresher Sharks that look like aliens, beautiful Hammerheads, Tiger Shark, Bull Shark, Blacktip… and the list just goes on!

One of the best things about the beautiful waters of Fort Lauderdale is that you don't have to travel too far out to enjoy rod-bending action! Capt. Taco will take you trolling the reef for Kingfish and Bonito or offshore for something bigger. Cast with spinner rods for schools of Mahi Mahi, target Wahoo, Tuna, and occasional Blue Marlin.

Or get the most out of your South Florida trip and get your hands on Swordfish. Head up to 20 miles out, rig bait, and get ready for an adrenaline rush.

Capt. Taco will take you out aboard the 'Hooked Up.' With 41' of excellence, she comes powered by two 450 HP Avico engines. Inside and outside, six anglers will find ample of space and can have a seat wherever they like.

Once the Hooked Up sets out, a reliable set of navigational electronics will guide you, homing in on the hottest grounds. You will be using International reels ranging from 20 to 80 lb and custom rods, built by Capt. Taco.

The action will take place outside the cockpit. There are 4 fighting chairs for those who are up to a challenge. All aboard!

The trips aboard the Hooked Up are all-inclusive. You only need to bring your own food and drinks.

Stop Looking Cap Taco is the Man!

10 Hour Trip - Daytime Swordfish on April 6, 2026 • 6 adults

Cap Taco is the man! He and his mate Mac were great.  Captain Taco was great to work with, called the day prior to make sure we were all on the same page. once on the boat he made us feel like old friend, getting us on fish as soon as we hit the open ocean. Cap Taco kept us on the the fish while his mate Mac worked his @$$ off keeping lines in the water, and bates on the hooks and weed off.

Double Up Sailfish

3/4 Day Trip - 7:00 AM on February 15, 2026 • 1 adult • 1 child

We had a great time fishing with Captain Taco and his first mate Jack.  Even though it was a rough day on the water, they still had us hooked on some fish!  We had to cut our day short due to some sea sickness but had an experience of a lifetime catching two Sailfish at the same time.   

First mate Jack worked hard rigging and baiting our fish in 5 to 6 foot waves.  

My son and I would highly recommend fishing with Taco and crew!

Taco is an amazing guy and a true professional. I'd recommend this charter to absolutely anyone - whether you're coming as a small group, a big group, or even with kids. Taco is the man. He's a local with a wealth of knowledge about the waters, the best fishing spots, and how to make the whole experience fun and successful.
We landed some incredible fish —red snapper, mahi mahi, and amberjack-and had an unforgettable time out on the water. I'm super happy I had the opportunity to meet him and fish alongside him. It was an absolute blast from start to finish.

Half Day Trip on September 18, 2025 • 4 adults

We didn’t catch a lot of fish today (not our day..) but we got a few snappers and a big grouper so we were happy. We had to throw the grouper back so that was a bummer but its the law... Captain and his deck hand worked extremely hard to find us some fish. I have been out on charters before with not so great experience but these guys stood out and really cared to give us a good time! We all enjoyed the day on the water and I will definitely go out with Taco again for my next fishing trip.

BOOK WITH TACO!

Half Day Trip - 8:00 AM on August 5, 2025 • 3 adults

Captain Taco provided a perfect trip for my family.  My wife and two sons, 15 & 13, enjoyed the best day of fishing.  Captain Taco, along with his exceptional first mate Dan, knew the perfect fishing spots and we all caught numerous fish on a 4 hour trip.  Captain Taco also had a great restaurant recommendation where our caught fish could be cooked for us for lunch. Amazing! Finally, if you are worried about getting sea sick then Captain Taco has excellent advice to avoid that concern.  Book with this Captain!
