This was my 1st time fiahing with a charter and 1st time saltwater fishing as I’m from Wisconsin. I was recommended to captain Charles by a friend and was definitely a great recommendation. Captain Charlie knew the area well and immediately put me on fish at our 1st spot, catching a limit of spotted seatrout within the 1st half hr. Then we decided to fish mangroves for snook and redfish and immediately hooking up with several snook. All in all, caught about 15 fish and although no huge fish, it was a very enjoyable time and would definitely recommend and will use him next time I’m down.

We had amazing 6 hour fishing trip with Captain Charlie! Captain Charlie is a great captain! Our fishing experience was awesome! We met Captain Charlie at his boat at 11:30am and headed to the Sanibel Causeway to catch our live bait! Once we loaded up the live bait well we headed to a canal at the north end of Sanibel Island and South tip of Captiva! We settled in for a few hours and began successfully catching large Snook ranging from 27” to 40” fish… It was f***ing amazing as Captain Charlie baited our poles and cast for us but also sloped us to bait and cast ourselves! We were even visited by a few dolphins who love us and our catch! We enjoyed the awesome array of birds including blue herons, sea gulls, pelicans among others! Our family holiday charter was simply perfect…after 5 hours we returned to the dock but not before making one last stop to catch more snook. The day ended with a gorgeous sunset and our successful fishing expedition exceeding our expectations! Captain Charlie is an amazing fishing guide who knows all the best spots in the region! He is a laid back guy and such a cool dude! 😎😎 We will definitely books our next fishing charter with Captain Charlie Fishing Charters the next time we visit SW Florida! My husband and I booked this venture as part of our honeymoon trip to FL. Hands down, one of the best fishing experiences my husband and I have ever had! We had such a great time on the water with Captain Charlie and we caught everything we could’ve wanted and more! Multiple red fish and snook, a few trout that were just shy of keepable length which was no biggie since we had caught 8 snapper to take for a delicious lunch over at Lazy Flamingo thanks to Charlie’s recommendation! Caught a few random things too- Jack crevalle, cat fish, puffer fish and even A SHARK!
Of course no 2 trips can ever be the same when it comes to fishing, but I could tell Charlie knew what he was doing when it came to fishing and was very helpful with guidance and direction of what to do in order for us to have such a successful trip.
Thank you so much again Captain Charlie, as we will remember this trip for a lifetime!

This was our second trip out on the water with Charlie (and I am sure won’t be our last).  Our two trips were completely different, however, both were a blast. We caught a ton of the same fish last go round and this time we caught a few of many different kinds of fish. We hooked everything from Snook to Lizard Fish……and even a small shark (who broke free and refused to get in the boat!) We had a great time keeping track of our species count and we had a great boat tour of Captiva as well. If you are looking for a fun day with your family with a great captain, Charlie’s trip is for you.

We had a trip booked with CPT Charlie.  He called a few days before and said that his boat was laid up, waiting for parts, so he’d have to cancel.  That wasn’t the end of the story.  CPT Charlie called around (this was for the Father’s Day weekend) and found another guide who had an opening,  CPT Charlie vouched for the other guide and pretty much set everything up.  That was service above and beyond, and we appreciated it greatly.  I’ll go out with CPT Charlie when I next get to the Sanibel area this coming fall.
