Great Barrier Reef Fishing & Tours

Great Barrier Reef Fishing & Tours invites you aboard the ‘Stryker’ to explore the fantastic aquatic opportunities Queensland has to offer. Join the crew as they venture out to the best fishing spots around.

Don’t forget to bring your camera with you. The local waters are an absolute natural wonder, which you will be able to see yourself from a comfort of your own boat. The Stryker is an 18’ Amara center console, built in 2013. She comes powered by a single 200 HP Honda engine and can cruise at a top speed of 24 knots. The Stryker can carry up to 5 anglers and is outfitted with all Garmin GPS and fish finder, as well as a live well, and an icebox for the catch.

Your day on the water will see you trolling, drift fishing, bottom fishing, and snorkeling, as well as using handline and light tackle. If you want to be a real underwater hunter, just let your skipper know and try spearfishing. Bring your own equipment with you and take a dip in search of whatever patrols the waters.

The list of your potential catches includes anything from Coral Trout to Giant Trevally, Nannygai, Sailfish, Red Emperor Snapper, and even Black Marlin. You will be able to enjoy fishing close to shore or head up to 15 miles offshore to the Great Barrier Reef.

You will be provided with Shimano and Finoa gear, as well as live bait and lures. When you’re done fishing, your catch will be cleaned for you. The crew will also offer cheese platter, salads, and BBQ onboard, so feel free to bring your own drinks. Please, note, that smoking is not allowed.
