One thing that sets them apart from some is their time spent on the water. Fishing is their full-time job, not a part-time hobby. On days they don’t have charters booked, they go commercial fishing, where they sell the fish to the market. This puts them in the water more often and allows the crew to stay dialed in on the fish.

All equipment is professionally maintained and always kept clean. The boat is a Downeast style Duffy, powered by a Cummins engine. The F/V Canaveral Kings is a comfortable and spacious fishing platform. It features amenities such as a shaded cockpit and a full restroom. Inside, you will find plenty of room for your personal items as well as shelter from anything Mother Nature may throw at you.

Fishing off of Florida’s East Coast provides you with world-class opportunities at many different species of fish. Captain Joey Spoerle grew up fishing the waters of Florida’s east coast. He was born in Cape Canaveral and has lived his entire life on the Space Coast. After attending college and earning a Bachelors degree in Business Management, Captain Joey still felt the calling of the sea. He decided a 9-5 office job wasn't for him, so he continued his education with the United States Coast Guard, where he obtained a 50 ton master Captain’s license. Six years later and he has still not looked back! When he is not running charters Joey is fishing commercially, where the fish are sold to the market. This puts Joey on the water nearly everyday, giving him an edge to staying on top of the fish. He has won a number of local tournaments as well as traveled to places like the Bahamas, Virgin Islands, and all over the state chasing fish. He feels truly fortunate to make a career out of what he loves doing- fishing and putting a smile on people's faces.

The Blacktip Shark has to be one of the coolest sharks in the ocean. The little guys are aggressive and the big ones make crazy direction changing runs. They are one of the hardest fighting and strongest sharks if the near coastal species as well. Guess where is home to an abundance of Blacktip Sharks? Cocoa Beach Florida! The waters off of Cocoa Beach and the Kennedy Space Center are prime Blacktip Shark grounds! We catch Blacktips year around, but the Spring and early Summer months seem to be the best time to target them a short distance off the beach.
