Salty Vets Fishing Charters

Captain Raymond Dehn of Salty Vets Fishing Charters can promise you fish on his trips. He is happy to put his money where his mouth is and offers a ‘no fish, no pay’ guarantee. You’ll get fish, that’s for sure. But more than that, you’ll have a great time with the stunning Gulf Coast as your backdrop.

You will spend the day aboard a 22’ Kenner center console. This boat can comfortably fit up to 4 anglers without tangling lines. She has a 200 HP Mercury engine that will see you on top of the fish before you know it. You will head out a maximum of 15 miles, which leaves you plenty of time to fish to your heart’s content.

There is no minimum age for kids – if the parents are happy then Capt. Raymond is too. Please bring along life vests for the little ones.

Kids love the scalloping trips, which can best be described as an underwater treasure hunt. So much fun! Experience is not necessary, and you are sure to reach the 2.5 gallons per person limit. These trips are available in the morning and in the afternoon, so whatever your schedule you can find time to get in the water.

Live bait is prepared before the trip which gives you maximum time fishing. For those new to fishing, this will also give you an edge in catching your first fish. Capt. Raymond loves getting people into fishing and will show you the tricks of the trade that will have you fishing like a pro in no time.

You will be using top of the line equipment, including Berkley and Okuma rods and reels. If you have your own lucky rod you are welcome to bring that along, just let Capt. Raymond know beforehand.

There is a cooler on board for any food and drink you decide to bring. Have your own cooler in your car, and transfer your packed lunch across on arrival. Then you’ll be able to take your catch home in your own cooler at the end of the trip.

Salty Vets Fishing Charters can’t wait to have a fishing adventure with you – book now and come down to meet Capt. Raymond on the water today!

I grew up on the water. I have been fishing since I could hold a rod and reel! I got my first boat when I was 10 then it was non-stop from there! It was a nice stress reliever for me growing up. I am an Army veteran – I served for 10 years and I deployed twice. During the transition into civilian life I decided to turn my passion into a career. I enjoy sharing fishing with people and teaching others.
