Climb aboard their 24 foot Kenner bay boat, capable of holding up to 6 anglers fishing at the same time in comfort. She’s powered by a single Yamaha engine with 250 HP. There’s a livewell on board to ensure your bait stays spry and lively. A wireless trolling motor is available as well, so you don’t spook the fish and have the best chance of getting that dream catch.
Your guide and instructor on this journey will be Captain Shane Ziegler. You’ll be in very good hands with him, as he has over two decades of guiding fishing charters and he’s keen to both put you on the bite and to show you the natural wonders of the area. You can expect to target a variety of exciting and beautiful fish that inhabit this area, such as Redfish, Black Drum, Flounders, Ladyfish, Sharks, Sheepsheads, Spotted Seatrouts, and others.
The charter will provide you will all necessary equipment. First-timers and inexperienced anglers are more than welcome as Capt. Shane loves instructing and instilling a love of all things fishing into people. Clients can keep their catch, but Barrier Island Fishing Charters encourages customers to release their catch, however, if you would like to keep enough for a meal I will be happy to fillet them for you.
