If you’ve ever wondered why people consider Florida a first-class fishing destination, then you should come to Carrabelle and see the natural and fishing beauties it has to offer. Hammerhead Hunters Charter Fishing and Captain Jamie Thomas has over 30 years fishing the Forgotten Coast and invites you to experience the marine life in Florida from his boat. Whether you’re a beginner or avid angler, you’ll certainly have a great time on the water.

You’ll begin your trip on a restored 30’ Century center console that can sit up to 6 guests. It’s powered by a twin 300 HP Yamaha engine and has full onboard navigation electronics. It features an ice-box and is equipped with snorkeling equipment and a livewell. There will be a first mate on the boat to make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible.

You’ll go fishing inshore and offshore, visiting reefs, wrecks, and flats along the way. Captain Jamie uses both light and heavy tackle and he applies different techniques, such as bottom fishing, trolling, deep-sea fishing, spinning, and drift fishing. Some of the species you’ll target are Snapper, Grouper, Mahi Mahi, and Flounder. You can keep every fish you catch, but fish cleaning is not included. Kids are more than welcome to the boat, so be free to bring them as well.

The captain will cover you for all the fishing gear, as well as snacks, drinks, and even licenses.

Visit Hammerhead Hunters Charter Fishing and spend a memorable time on the water.

Captain Jamie was born in North Fort Myers in Florida. He grew up there fishing the flats around Boca Grande Pass, Matlacha, and Sanibel Island, catching Snook, Redfish, Trout, Tarpon, Shark, and other fish. He later moved to Florida Panhandle where he has spent the last thirty years fishing the Forgotten Coast area. The most frequent question which people ask Captain Jamie after any trip is “What’s the biggest fish you've caught?” He's always excited to show off some huge trophy fish! This is why he started the charter business – to share with others the thrill of catching really big fish.
