Day/Nite Bite Fishing Charters invites you to enjoy a real freshwater fishing adventure with Captain Sloppy Joe and Captain Hurricane Napes. Running their trips out of Romps Marina in Vermilion, Ohio, they’ll show you what Lake Erie fishing is all about. With a combined 30 years of experience behind them, you know you’re in safe hands with Sloppy Joe.
Their boat is a 23’ ProLine walkaround with a hard-top, and 8 ½’ beam that’s powered by a 200 HP Evinrude E-Tec engine. She can reach a top speed of an impressive 35 knots, which means you’ll be out on the fishing grounds in no time. It’s equipped with top-of-the-line Lowrance navigation electronics, as well as safety gear to make sure you’re both safe and comfortable aboard.
The Day/Nite Bite specialty is chasing after the big ones in the Lake Erie Basin. You’ll find dedicated Perch and Walleye trip options depending on what you want to focus on. Whatever you prefer, you’re in for some of the best freshwater fishing in the country. The fishing season starts in spring and lasts all the way up to the winter months.
Rods, reels, and terminal tackle are all included in the price of a given trip. The Captain will prepare the bait in advance, so you can focus on the fishing itself. Just be sure to bring a valid freshwater fishing license with you. People from all over visit Lake Erie every year, so why not go and see what all the fuss is about?

We had an awesome day out on the water with Captain Brody! From the moment we stepped on the boat, he made sure everything ran smoothly and kept the energy up the entire trip. The conditions were perfect, and the fish were biting—we ended up catching our full limit and had a blast doing it.
Captain Brody clearly knows the area and put us right on the fish. Whether you’re experienced or just out for a fun day, he makes sure everyone’s having a good time. After we docked, we headed just down the road and got our fish cleaned—super convenient and wrapped up the trip perfectly.
If you’re looking for a great charter, a skilled captain, and a full cooler, this is the one. Highly recommend!

Joe communicated with us very well. Finding him and getting on the boat at the marina was the easiest that we have done . The fishing was a bit slow in the morning, but as the day went on, we start catching. All in all we had a great day on the lake with Joe. He never give up trying to catch fish. I would recommend him if someone is looking for a good boat and captain.

Highly recommend! I had a great time on the water with my teenage son and his friend. Captain Sloppy Joe was professional, punctual and showed us the ropes! Caught several fish. Boat was top notch! He recommended a close cleaning station and some walleye recipes. Will definitely charter again soon!

Captain had lots of knowledge about the area, he was also very patient and friendly, he got us involved and made our fishing trip engaged and enjoyable. We caught close to our limit and some really descent size one's. Overall highly recommended charter service in the area, you wouldn't be disappointed!

Captain Brodie menace earlier than we were supposed to be there and kept us out a minute or two longer and he probably wanted to had a great time. Very knowledgeable will definitely use them again and the fish were delicious.
