If you’re itching for an authentic Texan inshore fishing experience, give Captain Jack McPartland of Treble J Charters a shout. He knows these waters like the back of his hand and will do his best to keep you on the fish at all time. You’re more than welcome aboard whether you’re a seasoned angler or someone just starting out their career.
You’ll be fishing aboard Captain Jack’s 22’ Tran Cat center console boat. Thanks to its 250 HP Mercury engine, it’s capable of developing a top speed of an impressive 45 knots, ensuring you’ll be on the fishing grounds in no time. In addition to having all the necessary safety and navigation gear, the vessel is also equipped with a wireless trolling motor for getting that silent run going.
A standard trip with Captain Jack will involve fishing the bay areas for a number of inshore species. These include the likes of Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Flounder, and Black Drum. There’s good fishing to be had here during the entire year, so you can go wrong whenever you decide to drop by.
Captain Jack will provide you with all the rods, reels, and tackle you’ll need for the trip. However, you should remember to bring a valid fishing license with a saltwater stamp, polarized sunglasses, and some sunscreen, as well as some drinks and snacks if you feel like it. If you plan on bringing kids under the age of 13, make sure they have a USCG-approved life jacket with them.
