Brand new loaded boat! Join boat owner/Captain of 16 years Jason Katsikas on board his 20’ center console with the SHADE of a T-top. Not a skiff. She is quite spacious due to her design and allows anglers to fish in comfort. He has been fishing Islamorada waters since a kid. 25 years!
Capt. Jason targets many species. Tarpon, Barracuda, and sharks for sport fishing or chasing Snapper, Porgy, Hogfish, various Mackerel, Grouper, and other species for dinner! No matter your skill level or preference, you will be in good hands. Capt. Jason is an avid angler who takes pride in being a great teacher.
You will fish the patch reefs of Islamorada on family and for dinner trips. There is no minimum age for kids. Departure times are flexible, so feel free to contact me directly and arrange a starting time that will suit you best.
If you are ready to battle a trophy Tarpon or go after some tasty dinner, you are ready for Katz Charters!

What a trip!

I'll spare you the long story, but needless to say unforseen circumstances created a huge inconvenience to our reserved time fishing with Captain Jason. He was flexible and understanding. He went above and beyond to accommodate us and his knowledge of the waters, fish and where to find them delivered more than anyone could have asked for. He's amazing for families of 4 with kids. We couldn't have asked for better and are looking forward to fishing with him again. Thanks a ton Jason.

Great Conscience Angler For Our Family
2 Hour Trip (3hr $) –PM Family Fun on May 24, 2025 • 2 adults • 2 children
Jason was great to work with and was a conciencious of our family. He had clean language and was so positive and happy to help the kids (and adults) have a positive experience. He provided a cooler full of ice and water, which was wonderful to have on a warm day.
He put in so much effort to help make sure that we caught some fish. We were having an unlucky day, but he was persistent and we tried 4-5 places in the ocean with multiple fishing techniques. We managed to catch 6 different kinds of fish! They were small, so we didn't bother keeping them for our dinner, but everyone was able to catch a fish and had a great time laying some basics about fishing. Jason was so patient to teach all of us and to continually support us in our attempts.
We all had a great time and enjoyed our experience.

Great Captain, Great Fishing!
Half Day Trip – Patch Reef (AM) on March 11, 2025 • 1 adult • 2 children
Captain Jason knows his stuff. With some questionable weather he was very communicative and flexible making sure we went out in good conditions. He knew where to find the fish, what they would bite on, and got em on the boat! I took my 10 and 12 year old and he was amazing with them, giving them good instruction and TRUSTING them with his gear and leaving it to them to reel in the fish, even the barracuda my 10 year old daughter caught! He made sure that my son ended on a high note after that by trolling and getting another ‘cuda on the line but it got off last minute. Even though it was time for our trip to end he went to one more spot to make sure he could reel in a few before we went back to the docks. Will certainly be reaching out to him on our next trip, you should too!

We decided to go shark fishing after being a little disappointed with a party reef trip and booked Jason at short notice. He arrived on time and prepared and took us a short distance to our fishing spot. After a short wait we both had good bites but in our excitement both did exactly what Jason told us not too and lost both fish. We then both managed to catch good sized black tip sharks with Jason expertly managing the boat to avoid tangled lines on the many crab pot boys. Both came home very happy after an excellent 3hrs fishing. Would highly recommend Jason for his skill and interesting conversation during the quiet time's.

Great Time!

Captain Jason was great! We did a 3 hour charter for Snapper and Shark. kids caught plenty of Snapper first then went to fish for Sharks. Ended up catching a 5 foot black tip shark!! Captain Jason was great with the kids, patient, and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!!
