Sunny Side Up Fishing 

Based in Ocean Springs, Sunny Side Up Fishing aims to provide the best possible inshore fishing service in this part of Mississippi. Captain Sam Davis specializes in going after Redfish and Speckled Trout in the bays and bayous around Ocean Springs as well as the nearby barrier islands.

His boat is a 21’ Blazer Bay 2170 that’s powered by a single 150 HP Yamaha outboard engine. It’s a quick and nimble boat that will get you to the fishing grounds in a snap. Equipped with top-of-the-line Lowrance GPS and fishfinder devices, as well as a Minn Kota iPilot trolling motor, it’s nothing less than a fish-catching machine.

With trip types ranging from quick 2-hour runs to longer full-day trips, there’s something here for everybody. The trips themselves are geared towards more skilled anglers, but Capt. Sam will be happy to accommodate less experienced anglers as well. Most trips start at civil twilight, so it’s a good idea to go to bed a bit earlier the night before. Expect to be targeting the likes of Redfish, Black Drum, Spotted Seatrout, and more besides.

Everything you need for a quality time out will be waiting for you on the boat, including Penn spin reels spooled with Seaguar fishing line on Penn rods, bottled water, coke, coffee, and more. It’s very much recommended you bring a raincoat and appropriate attire for the season. Of course, don’t forget an ice chest if you want to bring your catch home.
