After catching bait we went out trolling for about an hour (no luck) but Edwin kept checking & switching rigs. We slow trolled with live bait for a while and caught a nice King Mackerel. Then went bottom bouncing with some cut-bait and caught about a dozen red snapper, porgys, grunts, etc. and another King. We had one on that we couldn’t get off of the bottom and after 30+ minutes it broke the line. The boat and crew were top notch! I’d fish with them again!

Regardless of bad weather, no sun and some waves,  Black Moon offers us a good adventure and fishing. Because of my wife’s sicknesses, we trolled only like for 40 min and have 1 fish lost and 1 got. Afterwise we gonna do some bottom fishing, and catched really many fishes and several big ones. We stopped fishing by my request, because of keeping became stronger my wife’s sickness and very cold weather (on boat there was no any wrap or ruck to take her warmer).

I took a private 4 hour charter with Captain Julio and his first mate Edwin earlier this week.
Had a great day with those 2 and my fishing partner, Juan.
Captain and Edwin were ready to rock and roll as soon as we arrived and we got out to start catching.
We were fishing within 20 minutes or so of leaving the dock, and within 30 minutes we had out first mahi in the box. Next came the big boy in the picture, and then a third shortly later.
They kept working hard for more bites, but no more luck.
The boat was clean, and ran great. Gear was well maintained and no problems landing our 3 fish. Edwin gave clear directions on landing the fish and was great with his gaffe.
Plenty of water, sodas and beer onboard as well.
They then cleaned our catch and we were on our way.
Very pleased with our day and would recommend to anyone, especially if you are looking for a 1-4 person trip.

This was our second time with Black Moon, we have had Captain Julio both times, a top notch guide. Even though the water was rough , trolling wasn’t profitable , but at the end of the day we bottom fished and did superb , probably in the 25-30 range. As all fishermen know it can be trying , but the crew made it enjoyable I will be back for another go with these guys , very professional and courteous most enjoyable. Cheers 🍻

Slow fishing as that time of year but in end 12 aboard. 4 hours trolling 2 hours bottom jigging. When you pay for 6 hours you get 6 hours fishing.  Captain and first mate worked hard to get them to bite.  Hey it’s fishing not always catching lol. Great people, equipped fully and I will totally book again. Thank you!!!!
