Bass Flats & Beyond - Riviera Beach
Bass Flats & Beyond launches out of Riviera Beach, FL, straight into the awesome offshore playground that lies just a short cruise from town. Spend your day battling deep sea species like Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, and Tuna, or hit the reefs to haul in heavy tackle monsters like Amberjack. Whatever you do, you’re in for some serious fun!
Capt. John Larsen has been fishing in Southeast Florida his entire life. Growing up just up the coast in Jupiter, FL, he has an intimate knowledge of the surrounding waters. You will hit all his top spots to bring in some truly prize-worthy fish.
Capt. John owns and operates a 25’ Bluefin center console. The vessel can cruise at up to 50 knots thanks to her 300 HP Yamaha engine. The boat has a T-top to keep you cool and happy, and you can even have a quick freshwater washdown if you get too hot.
And you’re going to be working up quite a sweat with the fish you’ll be targeting! Sailfish and Mahi Mahi are known for their speed and power, and Amberjack have a reputation for absolutely never coming quietly.
Book in for a full day trip, and you can target all these fish and more. Don’t have that much time? Bass Flats & Beyond offers half day and even three-hour “Run & Gun” charters. These trips give you a taste of the area’s fishing, without taking up the whole day.
Whichever trip you choose, you can rely on a skilled, local captain with quality equipment and a great boat. All tackle, lures, and licenses are included. Capt. John will try to catch live bait on the trip, but if you’re set on using it he can also buy bait before you start for a small fee.
He’s thought of everything, so all you need to bring is food, drinks, and the standard charter checklist: Sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, a cooler, a camera, and motion sickness medication if you’re unsure of your sea legs. Oh, and plenty of energy for a day of awesome angling!
