Rod Hog Charters offers fun-filled fishing days heading out onto Lake Michigan to target some of the country’s top freshwater gamefish. Captains Tim and Chris believe there’s more to charters than just catching fish. It’s about the experience, having fun and reconnecting with nature. You’ll catch fish, sure, but you’ll also have a great time doing it!
Spend your day aboard a beautiful 34’ Sea Ray cruiser. The boat can carry up to six guests in comfort, cruising at just under 25 knots to get you to the best fishing spots in no time. The vessel has a covered top to keep you comfortable in all weather and plenty of deck space for multiple anglers to battle great fish. She also has a head onboard for extra comfort.
There is a range of fish species you can target on your trip. King (Chinook) and Silver (Coho) Salmon can both be found in Lake Michigan, as can Lake, Brown, and Rainbow Trout, and other gamefish like Walleye and Perch. Rod Hog Charters offers specialist Perch fishing trips if you want to go after these tasty fish.
The thing that makes these guys special is their enthusiasm and determination to make the trip fun for everyone onboard. No previous experience is necessary. Captains Kim and Chris take turns running their charters, but they both share a love of teaching beginners and children how to fish.
Of course, seasoned anglers are always welcome, too. If you’re a group of seasoned pros out in search of awesome sportfishing, your captain will switch things up and work hard to get you on some real trophies. Whatever you’re after, they will adapt the trip to suit you.
All tackle and lures are included in the price, and your fish will be cleaned and filleted at the end of the trip. Just grab your fishing license and any personal items you want for the day and step aboard for a great time!
