Carolina Traditions Guide Co. is a customizable and interactive guide service run and operated by Capt. Joe. A passionate angler with over 3 decades of fishing experience, Joe offers family-friendly service to everyone who steps aboard. He specializes in thrilling sight fishing, topwater, fly, and late summer Bull Drum trips.
Joe operates a 22’ Bateau built by Jones Brothers. This skiff boat is especially popular all along the beautiful North Carolina Crystal Coast. Built back in 2000 and overhauled in 2017, the boat can cruise at a top speed of 26 knots thanks to its 115 HP Yamaha V-4 outboard engine.
The skiff features a GPS, a fishfinder, and a VHF radio to build up a clear image of where the fish are hiding. There are 2 iceboxes available on board – one for the snacks and the other one to keep the catch fresh during the day. As well as that, there is a livewell aboard which you will fill with bait as part of your trip. Kids love it!
Capt. Joe has tailored a large variety of packages that range from special trips to mixed-bag packages. Stalk slot-sized Redfish in the marsh or head out for a full day of Bull Drum fishing. Or just simply go for anything from Spanish Mackerel to Bonito, Cobia, Bluefish, Flounder, Grey Trout, Black Drum, Speckled Trout… you name it!
Focus on the light tackle experience or catch fish with a fly. You will be provided with Star rods, Penn, Diawa reels, and other professional equipment to make a great catch possible. The trips are all-inclusive; you will only need to bring your own food.
Experience the history and traditions that coastal North Carolina has to offer.
