Jefe is knowledgeable, engaging, and goes over the top to ensure your group will be satisfied. A day full of the non-delightful lizardfish (we lost count at about 30) turned into a wonderful smorgasbord of 8 different species of fish including triggerfish, red snapper, flounder, trout, kingfish, sea bass, rock bass, and a few others.
Jefe will put you on the fish and you will catch plenty.  We were reeling them in at twice the rate of the other more fancier boats near us on the reef.
We will be returning later in the year and are hoping to book Jefe for a full day. We found a gem

Our captain spoke fluent English and was extremely knowledgeable. He had great stories and just fit in like he was your fishing buddy. If we weren’t catching fish he didn’t hesitate to move to just the right spot. He knows EXACTLY what he’s doing to get on the fish and does everything to accommodate all guests. Don’t be afraid to tell him what you would like before your trip. I asked for easy access for my elderly parents and he did everything possible. We all had a great time and caught 40-50 fish and had a great dinner that night. He even had suggestions as to how to prepare them. His deck hand was great! He took the fish off, baited the hook, and did a great job cleaning our catch. We also were able to see a giant pod of dolphins. When a whale was spotted he asked if we wanted to spend some time viewing it. HECK YEAH! It was a great day on the water!

This is the boat and captain you want to book with! We booked at half day fishing charter online. He responded quickly via email when I asked questions.

Once we arrived he was friendly and professional. Clean boat and comfortable for the 3 of us.

We caught 20+ fish and was great at showing us tips and tricks to make our fishing more affective. He was very knowledgeable and spoke very good English!

We will be returning and booking again!

Me, my wife and another couple went out for half a day. We had an awesome experience, El Jefe was super friendly and accommodating. His English is incredible and he’s a really fun guy to visit with and he had a bunch of great jokes. He worked hard and even stayed out a little longer just to get us on fish, even though it was a slower day. We still brought home plenty for fish tacos and everyone had fun.

Not a fancy, luxury setup, but it works and he knows what he’s doing. Great value and a fun experience. I would recommend and would go with him again.

Our family of 4 went out with Captain Jefe and Cesar for a 6 hour fishing trip a few days before Christmas of 2021.  Leading up to the trip, Jefe was very responsive with all of my questions and super accommodating for our two younger girls on the trip. Jefe was very flexible with us on swapping days at the last minute so we could join a different local boat tour and still go fishing with him a day later.  On our trip, we caught a bunch of fish and they took care of everything from baiting to filleting and beer! I highly recommend booking with Captain Jefe!  We’ll be booking again with him on our next visit to Rocky Point!
