Uncanny Angler Fishing Charters

Uncanny Angler Fishing Charters invites you to fish some of the Tropical North Queensland’s most beautiful waterways together with Captain Brett Parks. Catching fish is just part of the adventure, as you’ll also be taking in the wide range of bird life, and coming across the occasional crocodile at times. Not to mention that the area is full of birds of all sizes and colours. A real treat for the eyes!

You’ll be fishing from a 13’ Quintrex bass boat that’s powered by a single 30 HP Mercury outboard. This light vessel can take you through every narrow nook and cranny in search of the finest catch around. The onboard fishfinder will make sure you’re on them at all times, while the wireless trolling motor will help you with more easily spooked fish.

A fishing trip with Capt. Brett is an ideal way to pit your skills against species like Barramundi, Mangrove Jack, Tarpon, Jungle Perch and Sooty Grunter. Presenting your lure and enticing a strike in these crystal clear waters is a tonic for the soul, and watching the fish bite your lure is what it’s all about. Any fly anglers out there will be enthralled at the prospect of teasing a bite in these waters.

Capt. Brett is more than happy to pick you up from any hotel or motel in Cairns and taking you to the river where the fish are at. Full light tackle gear, including lures and tackle will be waiting for you on the boat. Bring your favorite pair of polarized sunglasses, and get ready to make some fishing memories!

Captain Brett Parks has been fishing since he was a kid, never looking back. Of all the different types of fishing he's tried, Trout fishing in Victoria has a special place in his heart. The rivers in Queensland earned a close second place, and he has been fishing those waters since 1990.
