After years of running a successful nearshore and offshore charter business, Capt. Craig Brown wants to share his true passion with you. Fly and light tackle fishing in the waters of Sanibel, Captiva, Pine Island Sound, and Matlacha. From the shallow waters of the gulf beaches, to the gin-clear flats of Pine Island Sound, to the more tannic water of Matlacha Pass, opportunity abounds!
You’ll be fishing from a 17’ Grand Slam built by Dragonfly Boatworks. It’s a custom built ‘magic carpet’ designed to provide a soft dry ride on the way to the grounds and then let you fish in 8" of water when you get there! With the ability to cross big water and fish super skinny flats, you’ll be reeling in fish in no time.
Get ready to silently pole over turtle grass flats as you sight fish for tailing Redfish. Hunt for Pompano and Snook along the sandbars and the passes. Or, look for giant Tarpon near the beaches. It is the most technical, challenging and, yes, most rewarding way to fish.
For Capt. Craig, fishing is more than just catching fish. It’s about what you see, feel and learn along the way. It’s about making and sharing memories. It’s about ending the day with just a little more than when you started it. With a reputation as an excellent teacher, Capt. Craig is committed to sharing what he has learned over the years and working hard to provide that kind of day for you. You’ll learn the techniques to catch fish, where to find them, and most of all, how to take what you’ve learned and apply it wherever you fish next.
