Climb aboard his 2021, 24’ custom-built Pro-Line boat. Her design allows for up to 4 anglers to fish at the same time, in comfort, without bumping elbows. Don’t worry about travel times, as her 150 HP Yamaha outboard engine and sleek hull design allow her to speed along at a maximum cruising speed of 32 knots.

Capt. Mark will take you fishing all around Crystal River. On his trips, you can head off into the inshore waters and battle Bull Redfish or head into the deep blue sea, where you’ll bottom fish for tasty Red Snapper. For anglers who want to flex their muscles, the Cobia will prove a worthy opponent. A flybridge will help you spot them as well as other top-lurking species. You can also target Spotted Seatrout, Goliath Grouper, Tripletail, and whatever else you run into!

Kids are more than welcome with Cast N Reel Fishing Charters, but the minimum age is 5 and above. The captain can provide snorkeling equipment for extra fun when going scalloping, but customers should contact him in advance so he can get it ready.

Capt. Mark also offers pickup services from local motels, if he can reach it with his boat. Head straight from your room to reel-screaming action! Customers should bring sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, adequate clothing, and a waterproof camera to take pictures of their trophy catch.

Perfect day on the water!

We cannot say enough good about Captain Mark! The weather was perfect, and Captain Mark did everything he could to get us on fish! The fishing for every boat he talked to while we were out on the water was super slow, many boats didn't catch anything, and some captains gave up early, but not captain Mark! He did everything he could to get us on fish, and he exceeded our expectations! We kept 5 fish, and probably caught 15 others that were too small to keep, but the girlfriend and I were having a blast catching fish, no matter the size and enjoying all the beauty that is Crystal River and the Bay! Great day on the water with an excellent captain, will recommend to every fisherman I know that has a Florida fishing trip in mind to book with Cast N Reel!

The trip exceeded our expectations, which were already very high after reading all the glowing reviews! Despite our limited experience, we had about two dozen catches. Captain Mark patiently helped my teenage sons improve their techniques and explained the "why" behind his choice of spots. Beyond the fishing, we appreciated the easy access from Ocala. Another unexpected bonus was the scenery as we made our way in the boat from the launch point on a tributary to the main river and finally into the gulf. The birds, vegetation, and local homes and cottages really set the scene for the adventure ahead. The whole family is looking forward to another outing next year!!

Captain Mark was a good guide. Even though it was very windy and the waves were very choppy, he kept us in place when we needed to and had us drift through certain parts of the bay. He got us on some fish. It was my son's 25th birthday and he was pumped that he caught a variety of fish. Trout, flounder, sea bass, mackerel, pompano, and sheephead. Good conversation. Cold water and Gatorade. Cleaned the fish quickly, and made recommendations on how to cook them. I'm using him again.

We Caught Fish - Great Time

Inshore off shore combo on February 18, 2025 • 3 adults

My two sons and I enjoyed a great time on the water with Captain Mark. We caught 12 different species on the day and made some awesome memories. Captain Mark got us to the fish and even though things were a little slow overall, we kept catching some. Other boats that we’re communicating were not having much luck but we ended up with plenty of fish in the cooler. Thanks Captain Mark for a wonderful day on the water.

Mark worked his ass off to find us fish, we ended up with 29. He spent a lot of effort with my wife and kept moving where the fish were. Got back to his house and cleaned the fish and saw an alligator. Great person and great guide😎
