Brookings River Fishing - 23'

With Brookings River Fishing, some of the best of Southwestern Oregon’s freshwater grounds will be all yours. Join Captain David aboard his spacious fishing vessel to explore the Chetco River, Rogue River, Coos River, and Coquille River estuaries.

Come August, and Capt. David begins his season, which goes on through November. On your day out, you will be concentrating on trolling for Salmon, honing your skills and mastering the cast.

Capt. David will show you the most productive waters around and will work hard to put you on fish. David has been exploring these waters for his whole life and knows where the fish are hiding.

Brookings River Fishing operates a 23’ Jetcraft boat, powered by Honda engines – a 225 HP outboard and a 15 HP kicker motor. The boat has plenty of space for up to 4 anglers.

Take in all the beauty of the surrounding areas. Battle hard-fighting Salmon on the Rogue River anytime from mid-August through early September. Head out to the Coquille for the fatter fish or spend your day on the Coos River, reeling in a big fish.

All you have to do is purchase a valid fishing license and bring your own food and drinks. Capt. David will supply all the necessary rods, reels, tackle, and bait to make a great catch possible.

I had the love of fishing since I was a small child. I was a licensed captain in three states at the prime of my life. I've settled down to Just Fish Oregon. I've been running a charter boat operation now for 24 years fresh and saltwater. The style and technique that I'd prefer is the one with a fish on the end of your line. I pursue many different species of fish both in fresh and saltwater and the techniques vary considerably.

Rained most of the time, no bites at all. Captain was an older fella with a bit of tude. Take rain gear if you go.
