Capt. Dave’s Sport Fishing is a full-time local veteran guide service since 1996. Charter fishing is not a part-time job. Captain Dave Sipler, always stays on top of the current bite and works hard to make sure you have a productive day out on the water.
Enjoy a day of inshore sport fishing on the St. Johns River Jacksonville and local inlets to Amelia Island. You will be jig bottom fishing or using float-rig (slip float) for a variety of species that call these waters home. The list of your potential catches includes Speckled Trout, Redfish, Black Drum, Sheepshead, and Jack Crevalle. Your captain will gladly clean your fish at the end of the trip for a gratuity.
The best inshore fishing season in Northeast Florida runs from October through May. Depending on the time of year you decide to go out, there could be dinner fish caught or just a trophy for a photo or two. After all, it’s not about filling the freezer, but about the joy of sport fishing!
Departing in the morning, you will soon see yourself in the middle of the hottest action. Please make sure to come prepared – hooded sweatshirts are a fisherman’s best friends in Northeast Florida during the winter months. You will be provided with 100% technique-specific fishing tackle, all USCG safety equipment, bait, licenses, coolers, and ice. You are welcome to bring your food in plastic bags and store it in the cooler on board.
Your boat for the day will be a custom-designed 26’ all-welded Aluminum center console "working charter" boat, which is one of the largest inshore-specific vessels in the area. It has plenty of fishing space and features a large protective top for some shade, which can also protect you from the elements. With high sides and ample seating, this stable boat is an ideal vessel for your next fishing trip.
Children over 10 years old are welcome.
