Sea Star CR – 31' Big Eye
If you are looking for the dream fishing trip in Costa Rica, Sea Star CR is the charter company for you. The all-inclusive trips they offer have something for everyone. Whatever your experience level, and whatever you want to do on your trip, these guys will make your fishing dreams come true.
If you want to fish 40 miles offshore for big game, the captain will get you there. After catching a delicious Mahi Mahi or Tuna, the crew can prepare them immediately on board – there has never been fresher ceviche or sashimi!
If you are looking to battle Roosterfish instead, he will happily take you to those waters instead. This fish is strictly catch and release, so have your camera ready. For the rest of your catch that will need cooking, the crew will fillet it for you to take to a local restaurant after the trip.
You will spend the day on “The Big Eye,” a 32’ recently restored Jersey Custom Express Sportfish boat. She boasts 350 HP engine and a maximum cruising speed of 25 knots. She has ample seating and shade, a fighting chair, private head, sound system, and sonar fish finder. What more could you ask for? This boat is designed for sportfishing, so will give you the edge when chasing big game.
Let the captain know before the trip how you would like your day to go. You might want to go to private beaches and lounge in hammocks or go far offshore for that trophy fish. Maybe you want to tick off snorkeling in a volcanic reef off of your bucket list. However you would like to spend the day, Sea Star CR can accommodate.
You will be provided with Penn International reels for professional-grade tackle. Plenty of food is provided – you will need to keep up your strength after all. There is snorkeling equipment on board for those who fancy a dip into the clear blue ocean. These guys have really thought of everything – all that’s left to do is join them out there!
