With Blue Ocean Charters, you will be able to spend your day exploring the waters aboard one of the biggest vessels in New Zealand. With great action all year round, a dynamic crew, and productive grounds, you will be able to fish these waters as they were meant to be fished. Shared charters have never been as interesting!
Your boat for the day will be the ‘Te Kuia,’ a spacious 50’ vessel. She is a perfect shared charter with enough fishing space for up to 30 passengers. She features ample seating area, a galley, a restroom, a spacious back cabin, and quality gear and tackle for you to rent. The Te Kuia comes powered by a 200 HP Detroit engine and is rigged with modern electronics.
Your day out on the water will see you fishing with a team of local anglers. All of them have been mastering these waters for decades and know the best fishing grounds around. The crew will put you on Hapuka that can be found in Mayor Island and a variety of reef fish, such as Kingfish, Snapper, and Gurnard.
Bring your sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and a camera to capture these moments. Don’t hesitate to bring your own fishing gear, including rods, reels, and tackle. The crew will also be able to rent any necessary equipment out for you. You can also feel free to bring your own food and drinks. Tea and coffee will be served on board.
There is a minimum number of people for shared trips to run, so your trip might not take place in case of insufficient number of anglers
