Sea Reed Charters

15001 Punta Rassa Rd
Fort Myers FL, United States

Captain Clarence Reed operates Sea Reed Charters in the Fort Myers and Sanibel Island area. He specializes in backcountry fishing for big Snook, Redfish, Sea Trout and Tarpon on light tackle. There’s a variety of other species you can catch in Southwest Florida, but these game fish are the ones he and his guests are certainly most focused towards.

You will be fishing aboard a 22 feet long Pathfinder Bay boat, outfitted with a GPS, Fishfinder and radio, which can hold up to 4 anglers per trip. The vessel allows for an easy access in the shallows, usually less than a foot deep.

All the necessary fishing gear is provided by the captain, along with the lures and live bait for the trip. Following the journey, Captain Clarence will be happy to clean and fillet the fish you caught, if you so choose. Fishing licenses for all fishermen are included in the price.

Guests have a selection of three main packages to choose from: half day trips are a popular option for many busy anglers that want to get out on the water for at least a couple of hours, yet don’t have the time to fish all day. A 6-hour trip is a good opportunity to explore several fishing areas and is often suggested by the captain himself, as it provides him with more time to try and put you on big fish. Full Day trips are a good way to spend a day in Fort Myers, with the captain being able to introduce you to a variety of fishing grounds, and even different stages in the tide. Recommended for experienced anglers looking for a light tackle adventure.

Booked on short notice, Captain got back to us quickly to confirm.  Showed up with a well full of lively bait and we were off.  The captain had a plan to fish various spots as the incoming tide dictated where the fish would move; he didn’t get hung up on any particular spot, though.  No fish, move on.  We caught redfish, a nice trout, some snook and a few snapper and catfish.  The captain provided instruction and assistance to my wife and had her into fish consistently.  Great experience, highly recommended!
