Fish Ocracoke Aboard The Free Ranger
Whether you’re chasing the bluewater thrill or want to fill your cooler with nearshore fish, Fish Ocracoke has the trip for you! Captain Robert Orr has spent his life fishing the coast of North Carolina and is more than happy to share his wealth of experience with you.
Join him for an exciting fishing adventure on board the “Free Ranger”, a 46’ offshore sportfishing vessel made by Buddy Cannady. She was launched in 1992 and still runs like it’s her first day – a testament to the quality of her build.
The Free Ranger is a true bluewater predator, equipped to give you the edge in reeling in the best fish. A John Deere 750 HP engine will propel you to your fishery quickly and smoothly as you relax in the air-conditioned salon. The captain will deftly navigate the boat from the flybridge, and spot topwater fish from far away. Once you set the hook, set yourself in the onboard fighting chair and let the battle begin!
The fish you’ll target are diverse, offering something to every angler. Anglers looking to land their next trophy catch can go after Blue and White Marlin, as well as Sailfish. Delicious Blackfin Tuna and Wahoo can also be landed. Nearshore waters hide many Groupers, Snappers, and Mackerel that you can hook up.
Capt. Robert will take you up to 8 miles away from the coast on the 5-hour trips while you can expect to head up to 40 miles offshore on the full day trip.
Live bait is caught before the trip, so it’s all ready and spry when you get on board.
No matter your skill level, the crew will work hard to instruct and assist you in any way possible. Book a trip with Fish Ocracoke today and experience some of the finest fishing North Carolina has to offer!
