Operating out of Dillingham, Alaska, Nushagak River Fishing Lodge offers premiere all-inclusive Chinook and Coho Salmon fishing trips.
The lodge is situated in a remote Alaskan location and the stretch of the river you’ll be fishing has minimal fishing pressure, so you’ll get to enjoy your day in peace and at your own pace. Even at the lodge, you can expect less than 12 guests at a time.
You’ll be flying into Ekowok, a village 7 miles on the north. The crew will take care of the transportation and Captain Dallas Countryman will then welcome you aboard his 22’ Fish Rite skiff powered by a 115 HP Yamaha 4-stroke engine.
Nushagak River provides so many great fishing opportunities – it has the healthiest run of Chinook Salmon in Alaska and the aggressive Cohos that can wear you out offer great battles to fly fishermen.
As one of the best lodges in the area, Nushagak River Fishing Lodge originated by Portage Creek, but the founders soon decided to search for even a better location. The lodge now lies high on the riverbank, just below Kokwok, one of the Nushagak’s main tributaries. The unique location of the Alaska Salmon Lodge gives you a strategic advantage for catching more fish than anywhere else in the area. You’ll have 14 miles of river all to yourself!
Your daily limits will be cleaned, filleted, frozen, packed, and boxed for you to take home. The limits are usually 50 pounds during King season (June 15th to July 20th) and 100 during Silver season (July 20th to August 29th).
All of the packages include a charter plane from Anchorage, transportation to and from Ekwok, daily maid service, satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, and gourmet meals. Everything will be provided for your unforgettable adventure.
As they say in Nushagak River Fishing Lodge: “It’s your lodge, we just take care of it until you come back!”
