Fish Lauderdale

Fish Lauderdale connects both novice anglers and experienced professionals with fantastic fishing opportunities in Florida. Captain Chris and his crew will put you on top of the hot bite and prove that there is hardly anything better than fishing with the locals.

One of the best things about the area is that you don’t have to travel too far out to enjoy the bite. The best fishing is right there in the backyard! You won’t lose sight of shore and will be able to enjoy the view in between the bites. However, keep in mind that you will be pretty busy!

Fish Lauderdale specializes in various techniques that work best. Go for the most popular method and troll with bait or lures for Mahi Mahi, Tuna, and Bonito.

If you want to present live bait in a different method, you can enjoy kite fishing for Sailfish, Kingfish, Mahi Mahi, and Shark. Daytime Swordfishing is another thing that can excite even the die-hard anglers.

But if you are after great table fare, let the captain take you bottom and wreck fishing. Use live bait, dead bait, and jigs to produce Snapper and Grouper. Deep down bait on a shipwreck for giant Amberjack. Anchor up with a small rod to catch Yellowtail Snapper. You can catch them less than 10 minutes from the inlet!

All of that magic happens about the ‘Monster,’ a 42’ Post offshore sport fishing boat. Her twin 400 HP Detroit Diesels will power you to the hottest grounds quickly and safely. The Monster is fully rigged with the latest fishing tackle and electronics available on the market. She is equipped with everything you need to have a successful trip!

The crew are all Florida and Fort Lauderdale natives. They have been mastering the local waters all their lives and can show you the most productive spots. You will be provided with tackle, gear, licenses, lures, and live bait. The crew will be happy to clean your catch so it can go straight into the frying pan. All aboard!

I am a second generation charter fishing guide. I was also born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, which gives me a little bit of an advantage over a few of the other guys. I became a Fisherman because it is something I find that I love doing. No matter what type of fishing I'm doing, I love it. With that being said, who wouldn't want to do what they love everyday and get paid for it? Seemed like a simple choice to me.

Tony was super cool. I’d love to go on another fishing trip with him. We didn’t catch much but I still had a good time.

All my son wanted was to catch a Barracuda while we visited Florida.  So for his birthday we purchased a trip out on the water with Fish Lauderdale.  I told Captain Bob and “Tuna” Joe about his wish, and they both acknowledged it was a long shot, but it could happen.  The long shot got worse when my son started getting sea sick.  Yes, I should have given him some stuff to keep him from getting sick, but I don’t get sick so I didn’t think about it.  Anyhow, we decided enough was enough and didn’t want him to never want to go out again so we headed back in.  As we trolled back toward the shore on of the rods went down.  My son jumped into the chair to fight the fish, now not feeling so sick or so picky about what kind of fish it might be.  As it turned out, the miracle occurred and he landed his Barracuda.  Amazing.  We then proceeded in toward calmer waters where he was able to feel better and still fish off the back of the boat.  Captain Bob made what could have been a trip not worth remembering to a trip my son will never forget.  And those of you that fish know that any boat captain who can pull off that kind of fishing miracle must be in good graces with the fishing gods.

As for the details… visiting with Chris on the phone and getting all the information was super easy.  Easy transaction.  Enjoyed visiting with Captain Bob and “Tuna” Joe while were out on the water.  I should also mention that Chris called me a couple days before our scheduled trip and moved it back a few days because of forecasted high winds and rough seas.  Very much appreciated!  Thanks guys… we had a great time!

We’ve been working around this full moon with no issues. Lots of kingfish being caught while trolling planers under the surface. Also plenty of wahoo been around and being caught using the same methods. Sailfish were free jumping all… Read Full Report →
