Captain Brian was very friendly, accommodating, talkative (to our liking), taught us southern girls about some northern fish, and all in all got us fish on the line! We were lucky and had a steady bite our entire duration. We had a blast cruising around lake Minnetonka and all the random facts about the lake, houses, and people he added along the trip! We enjoyed our trip and was sad it ended, what seemed so quick. We are already planning another trip to come up this winter and ice fish with captain Brian. Would definitely recommend fishing with captain Brian if you have the chance!

I scheduled a late July half day trip with Captain Brian for when my mother (67 years old) was visiting from out of town. When I moved to Minnesota (many years ago) I promised to take my mother on a guided fishing trip. Well overdue, I took steps to fulfill that promise by booking a trip with Captain Brian. I knew late July probably wasn’t the hottest time of year for fishing depending on the species, but I put my trust in Captain Brian to put us on something. When I booked the trip the weather forecast was clear, but as we all know the weather is unpredictable and by the time of our Tuesday morning half-day trip there was a pretty good change of scattered thunderstorms. Captain Brian reached out the night before (I missed the communication) and morning of (caught me this time) the trip to contact me and propose adjustments to our trip to ensure the best experience possible. He offered options for an afternoon or evening trip. I opted to go out that same evening (4 - 8 PM). Upon reaching the destination, Brian already had his boat in the water ready for us and greeted us with a smile. We quickly made it to the fishing hole and within minutes of dropping our lines in the water both my mother and I had bites. My mom caught the first fish and out-fished me, which absolutely made my day and I’m sure hers also. She caught a small northern, lots of largemouth bass and several sunfish. I caught a lot of largemouth bass and several sunfish. Between the two of us, we caught around 25 or so fish. Besides enjoying the opportunity to get out and catch some fish, Captain Brian’s presence was also enjoyable. My mother and I really enjoyed his company, chatting with him and hearing his stories. This was an experience my mother will never forget. I’d highly recommend Captain Brian if you’re looking to get out and fish. Thank you Brian for providing this wonderful experience and helping us create lasting memories.

Capt. Brian took my 10-y.o. daughter and I our for an evening of fishing. It started a little slow but Brian kept working us around the lake until he found the fish and we were both able to catch a bunch of large mouth and rock bass (my daughter also reeled in a Pike so she got to cross that off her list of fish she wanted to catch). It was all in all a great time and my daughter came away with an memorable experience. I would definitely recommend Capt. Brian to anyone looking for a guide.

Brian was amazing. He got us out to the “honey hole” quickly and it did not disappoint. My wife, who never fishes and was skeptical to begin with, basically landed her first cast in the mouth of a nice sized bass. We ended up catching some crappie, bass, and a nice pike. Brian is a great story teller, fun, and patient. It was worth it if only for the company and the tour of the lake. Add the fishing and this was just a great afternoon. Would absolutely do this again.

My wife and I really enjoyed our trip with Captain Brian on Lake Minnetonka. He helped us both understand how best to fish the drop shot method which we had never done in the past. We both caught fish, she caught more than I did and I will never hear the end of it. We caught Largemouth Bass, Pike and Bluegill. Captain Brian was a wealth of knowledge on the lake. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great fishing trip in the Minneapolis area.
