About the Captain

Joe Angius
Fort Myers Beach, Florida, United States
Member since November 2014
My name is Captain Joe Angius and Southwest Florida is the only place in the world I want to be. I grew up on Long Island and never would have thought how my passion for fishing would be challenged by the backwaters and shallow flats of Florida. Some of the world's most elusive game-fish call this area home and this is why I will never want to live anywhere else.

Capt Joe put us on our intended species and the bite was on. We doubled up on reds and snook. He paired great knowledge of water conditions (clarity, tides and wind), with species preferences in structure and the fish cooperated. Great friendly personality and I’d have no problem bringing my 7 yr old daughter with next time.

Tarpon, Sharks, and a lot of Wind

October 04, 2017
