Went out to the Marathon hump and so did over 50 other boats. We didn’t see anyone catching fish for the two hours we were trolling around the traffic jam. Captain and mate worked hard to help catch fish and even hit an old barge wreck and did some close shore trolling. They went about 1.5 hours over schedule and we didn’t catch anything. I bridged fished the next day and caught a load of fish. We have fished around the world and have done great at most places. This was our first time fishing the Keys and the bridges are where the fish are. Tarpon, Barracuda, and Snappers all caught from the bridges. Lots of sharks stealing your catch too!.

Fishing is just that, fishing! Some days are better than others today was definitely not our day for fish. But that is again why it’s called fishing not catching. Jojo went above and beyond to try and get us on the big ones as he said high risk high reward but it’s not always a guarantee. I don’t care if we didn’t catch anything we could bring in it was the experience and supporting a small business that matters the most. You may not catch the big ones and you may have dry spells or hell a full dry run but they try and no one can make a fish grab one tiny line in 5 million+ gallons of water. Respect that and their labor and skill! I appreciate Jojo for taking me and my mom out and will forever remember experience and that alone is worth every penny! Oh and I have a fancy new tan line of my shorts lol. Priceless!

Oh and tip your damn crew/captain! Half of the charter or more is the dang gas! They have families and bills too! If you can afford to go fish don’t be a Karen or a Richard!

We had the best time with Captain Jojo. He was so professional and absolutely knew area and where to go for different types of fish. My husband’s bucket list was to catch a tarpon and he took us to an area and told him he would catch it within 15 minutes. He caught it within five. Definitely recommend captain JoJo!

Absolute riot fishing with these two, a lot of jokes, a lot of fish, and learned a lot. Can’t wait for next time we come down for a fishing trip with these guys.
