Trip Summary

Lake Tawakoni, July 27th Fred brought his wife Janet and son Jake out to fish with Captain Omar after a few years had gone by. Jake is now leaving this next month to head off to college. Fred , his friends and family have been fishing with is foe well over 13 years now and he has become near and dear to us. This family is awesome. The big Striper and Hybrid Striper that are in Tawakoni were the goal and we caught few. Janet had a 23" Hybrid Jake a 24" Striper and Fred a 22" Striper. Several smaller Struper were caught and released as well. Even 20 or so White Bass were put in the box. It is such a privilege to become a part of so many family's memories. The pictures of Captain Omar and Jake are 9 years apart. Praying everyone is staying safe and we will see you on the water! We are here to get you on the water and on the fish! Captain Don had a super fun day with a beautiful family. They caught quite a few good sized White Bass with a lot of undersized fish mixed in. The fish are hungry, and they bit all afternoon long. These fish are in the mode of eating morning, noon, or evening. Our captain can take you out on a 4 hour trip that starts when it is convenient for you anytime of day. Come out and enjoy the great weather and load up for a fish fry.

Elizabeth, her family, and friends joined us for a half day afternoon trip, and the bite, even in all the wind, was on fire! Many of the group had never even caught a fish, much less the size of the ones they caught today. This group really listened to Captain Jonathan and Captain Omar, and it shows by the number of fish on the cleaning table. Catching limits of the big White Bass and Hybrid Striper are pretty common at this time.

As a fishing guide now and then, you get an almost perfect winter day with great clients who truly want to learn what you do to catch fish. Of course, all clients are awesome, but the combination of them and a great weather day in Texas is a challenge! Mitchell brought his son Lucas and frined Michael along with Michael's dad to learn all they could and make sure Lucas had a great time. They also were hoping for a few good fish dinners as well. As it turned out, they got all three! We moved a lot trying to find some decent sized schools of White Bass, and the first few spots looked good, but even with our Bobo's Thumper, the fish just would not stick around long. We caught some fish at almost every stop and even hooked a huge Buffalo Carp that was snagged in the tail! On the way in, I decided to try one last spot, and it was game on! Everyone hooked up with a huge Cedar Creek White Bass, and eleven were out in the box in no time. We had 30 fish to bring to the cleaning table. RSR Lures accounted for every fish caught, and that included three different species. Lucas caught the most, and the biggest fish. To top it all off, he made it look easy! Book us to catch fish year-round.
