We meet up with Capt. Garcia the morning of July 19th 2024 at 0630. Capt. Garcia’s equipment is extremely well maintained, organized, and clean. Capt. Capt. Ruben was very knowledgable and service oriented. We had a morning trip with good weather conditions and fully capitalized on them! We nearly limited out on Black Drum and also landed 3 beautiful slot Redfish. Capt. Ruben was very helpful with the less experienced members of our party; encouraging and providing tips throughout the trip. Without a doubt would recommend him to anyone coming to the area whether it is your first or 50th time fishing. We will absolutely be booking with him for all of our future trips!

I have fished Laguna Madre for many years. Free fishing with croaker is the fastest way to catch game fish (trout, reds) while minimizing undesirable species (catfish, rays, perch). Everything eats shrimp, so you attract a fun variety with it. We caught plenty of different fish, including eel, whiting, croaker, perch, rays, too many catfish, nice black drum, and rarely a trout or small red. As experienced fishermen, we were really after trout, reds and flounder and caught no keepers. 😕 Capt Ruben is very friendly and has a very nice boat. I would recommend him for groups who want to see the variety Laguna Madre has to offer.

My brother-in-law & I took our three oldest sons on a half day morning charter. It was a lot of fun! The Cpt was very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and prepared. We caught some great fish in the early part of the day and got blanked in the last hour and a half. But overall had a great time! We were on fish all day, but they just weren’t biting towards the end. Definitely recommend!
