Now he’s living out his childhood dream and loves sharing his wealth of knowledge with guests. He offers a huge variety of trips, and you’re bound to find something that suits your wants and needs perfectly – whether you want to take your family on an awesome vacation, or are a seasoned angler looking to hook your best catch yet!
You’ll be traveling on board your captain’s 21’ Carolina Skiff vessel, perfectly built to accommodate up to 6 guests, and to tackle the diverse inshore waters that surround Homosassa. She’s decked out with top-of-the-line navigational gear, including GPS and fishfinder, life jackets for a variety of ages, and two coolers – one for your drinks and snacks, and one for your catch! Your captain also has bluetooth speakers, so you can play your favorites tunes.
You’ll be targeting Redfish, Snook, Spotted Seatrout, and Tarpon, among others. How you reel ‘em in is up to you – if you’re a newbie, you can spin for your catch, and Capt. August will show you the best techniques to use. Avid fly fisherman? Bring along your best rods and reels, and sight fish in the shallows for your catch! If you’re looking for a top family activity, explore the scalloping opportunities that the local grassy flats offer – your captain will provide snorkeling gear for you.
