Wild Fishing In Georgia – Tusheti

When you want to experience Georgian angling off the beaten path, turn to Wild Fishing in Georgia and guide Shota Inasaridze to hook you up! Not only are in for some memorable reeling action, but you will also witness some of the most beautiful landscapes you’ve ever set your eyes on.

Tusheti is one of the wildest and most beautiful places in the country, and fishing in its hidden pristine rivers will reignite your boy scout spirit and wonderment. Your guide through this glorious area will provide you with all the equipment you could possibly need. From rods, reels, and tackle, to tents, food, and drinks will be ready as you begin your journey.

Pickup is arranged in advance and once you’ve met up with Shota, you will begin an 11-hour trip in his jeep to get to the Tusheti Protected Landscape. From there, your fishing adventure will start. You will be exploring little rivers for Brown Trout, which is strictly catch-and-release in these parts. The main focus is on the spinning technique, or fly fishing if that is something you prefer and love doing.

You will be fishing from the shallows and from the shore, but if need be, Shota’s 12’ Voyager 500 boat is ready to take you out on the water. The vessel is outfitted with a 5 HP Yamaha engine and can take you to the most productive fishing grounds in case they’re far from the shore. However, most of the time you will be casting your line from land.

Once the fishing part of the trip is done for the day, you will set camp, spend time talking around the fire, relaxing, and enjoying the starry night like you’ve never seen it before. Before you know it, it’s time to get comfortable in your tent, have a good night sleep, and then tomorrow, you get to do it all over again.

Shota has ample experience in guiding trips in the awe-inspiring parts of Georgia, so you’re in safe hands. Wild Fishing in Georgia never looked as inspiring and captivating, so go ahead and book your trip today!
