Panama City, Florida. The name is almost the definition of Florida’s exciting inshore action. Captain Brad Hounshell, of Salty Soul Fishing, will guide you to the best proven fish havens around in this shallow water paradise.
You’ll be fishing from his 21’ Majek. She’s a flats boat, that means a shallow draft and spacious front deck. Thanks to that, you’ll be able to reach almost every fish in these waters and to freely chase the bite around the deck. A 250 HP Mercury outboard engine will get you to your fishery in no time. Once you’re close to your prey the onboard PowerPole will steady your cast.
Capt. Brad is an experienced, tournament-grade pro angler. His freshest trophy was a 7lb Redfish that hooked him the win at the Florida Pro Redfish 2017 competition. He’ll take you after the famous local Red Drum, as well as Flounder, and Spotted Seatrout. If the weather is kind, you can even head out to the nearshore waters of the Gulf of Mexico in search of King and Spanish Mackerel, Groupers, and Cobia.
You can bring 5 of your fishing buddies with you, but inshore action is most comfortable with 4 anglers on board (plus the captain).
The charter will provide you with all the necessary tackle but you’re free to bring your lucky rod with you. Bring some snacks to keep your energy up, the captain will supply water, ice, and Gatorade.
Whether you’re looking to get at taste of the inshore action you’ve been hearing about, or you’re chasing the next personal best, booking a trip with Salty Soul Fishing is the right move!
