Captain George Hastick a.k.a. The Fish Hunter has fished the productive waters of the Tampa Bay and St Petersburg area for the last 30 years. George developed a passion for fishing very early in his childhood at the ripe age of 5. Over the years, his love for fishing evolved into an obsession that he enjoys sharing with just about anyone he meets.

George’s outgoing personality makes him treat all his guests as if they’ve been fishing buddies for years. He realizes that a fishing trip is not just about fishing - the entire experience needs to be memorable, from the moment that you step on board until you’re back on the docks, and he will make sure yours is an experience you won’t forget. He operates a 23’ bay boat equipped with a GPS and a fishfinder, with a maximum passenger capacity of 4.

The Fish Hunter has been featured in the ‘Sling N’ Bait’ TV show which aired nation-wide and has had frequent write-ups in local fishing and newspaper publications. He’s also a regular at the local fishing seminars, teaching fishing at workshops at the West Marine, Tropicana Field and at the Florida State Fair Ground for the Tampa Bay Times. George also actively publishes his fishing reports online and in several local newspapers.

There’s a variety of fish that can be caught in the Tampa Bay area. Inshore game fish such as Snook, Trout, Redfish, Mackerel, Drum and more abound! Captain Hastick has several departure points from St. Petersburg to Tampa for your convenience.

All fishing equipment is included, complete with live and artificial bait. Florida fishing licenses are mandatory for all anglers on the boat and will be supplied by Captain George at no additional cost. Drinks, along with a cooler with ice are provided on board for your consideration. Captain George will also clean, bag and Ice your catch if you decide to take fish home.

My Uncle Frank handed me a fishing pole when I was 5 and it grew from there. From ponds and lakes, it grew into fishing the salt water for a variety of species. From Redfish, Snook, and Trout to Grouper, Cobia, and Mangrove Snapper and all that are in between. Snook is one of my favorite fish to catch on the inshore scene. Since I grew up originally wanting to be a professional Bass fisherman but started to love the saltwater and the Snook was like a Bass on steroids and guiding/teaching became a passion, I became a professional fishing guide. When you step on my boat, we will be fishing like we have been fishing buddies for years with a very easy-going "let's catch fish" atmosphere and we will catch fish. I have been fishing the waters of Tampa / St. Petersburg for over 40 years and over 22yrs as a professional. I am proud to say that in all my years of guiding I have never had a fishless trip. So come aboard the "Fish Hunter" and lets make some memories.
