Come aboard 50North Adventures to experience the “Salmon Capital of the World.” Home to the Chinook, Pink, Chum, Coho, and Sockeye Salmon, there’s nowhere better on the planet to catch these exciting and downright delicious fish. Just ask Captain Dean Parsonage! Originally from Australia, he fished all over the world before settling in Campbell River. He’s a true fishing fanatic and will go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy as much as him.

The Grady White 265 Express is an offshore sportfisher, specifically-designed to take you out to the deeper waters and to provide maximum space, comfort, and visibility when fishing. She’s a beauty with incredible space inside and out. Equipped with a shower, toilet, bed, and kitchen, you’re invited to make yourself at home. Powered by twin 250 HP Evinrude G2 engines, you’ll speed off to the productive spots and start fishing right away.

When you think Campbell River, you think Salmon right? Right. Home to 5 species of Salmon, go trolling with artificial lures to entice the bite. When you hear the reels screech, get ready for an exciting battle with these exciting fish and use all your strength to get them on board. With the latest Islander rods and reels, you won’t be short of delicious fish to take home.

Capt. Dean is passionate about the fish and about the area. He’ll give you a thorough run-down of the equipment, different species, and geography of the area you’ll be fishing. You’ll be amazed at the stunning nature around you, from the mountains to the wildlife – and you can even take advantage of this by combining fishing with whale watching! Whatever trip you decide, you’re in for an unforgettable experience that will last for weeks, even months in your freezer!

Please note: Children of all ages are welcome aboard, but not in poor weather conditions. The prices listed do not include the 15% tax.

I was a diving instructor on the Great Barrier Reef for 10 years and spent another 10 working on Super Yachts around the world. I have been lucky enough to have fished around the world for many different species. There are many different ways to catch fish in different parts of the world and this is what keeps fishing interesting. Patience is one thing but the thrill of targeting a species and landing it on the deck is another! Having discovered Campbell River and exploring the beautiful islands over 2 summer trips to Alaska, I knew I had to live here and raise the family. I set up 50North Adventures offering fishing charters, whale watching, and tours into Desolation Sound. Having access to such a vast area and diversity, we have the ability to hit many different fishing spots as the fish are biting!
